Randolph Word, MAI has been active in the commercial real estate market in the Memphis Metropolitan Area for over 15 years. He holds the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute and is a certified general appraiser in Tennessee and Mississippi.
Word began his appraisal career as a right of way appraiser for the Mississippi Department of Transportation in 1993 and worked there for three years. After obtaining a Master's Degree in Real Estate in 1997, Word relocated to the Memphis area and worked as a market analyst at Trammell Crow Company for two years. Word then worked as an independent contractor to a Memphis appraisal firm for nine years prior to opening Word Valuation Service.
Word has extensive experience in appraising existing and proposed office, medical office, industrial, retail, multi-family, hotel, restaurant, convenience store, self-storage, subdivision, condominium, agricultural, and special purpose properties.
Word is a graduate of the University of Mississippi (BBA, 1991) and Texas A & M University (Master of Land Economics and Real Estate, 1997).
Word has also served as a real estate appraisal instructor in the continuing education department of the University of Memphis.
